Filming of ‘Furious Velocity’ saga status traffic in Almada

The City Council will meet with residents, property owners and business owners to ensure that all stakeholders have input and are considered before work on the site begins.

In May of this year, Sofia Noronha’s production company Segese Production confirmed to Lusa that the latest film in the “Furious Velocity” series was planned for “a good few weeks” in the regions of North, Center and Lisbon. It includes several municipalities and a team of 600 to 700 people in Portugal, consisting of Portuguese and foreign experts.

The districts of Viseu and Villa Real have already hosted the filming of “Fast X”, which attracts curious people even to the shooting locations.

“Fast X,” the tenth film in the seminal “Fast & Furious” series, is directed by Frenchman Louis Leterrier, who directed “Master of Illusion” and “The Incredible Hulk,” among others. “Fast X” was originally directed by Justin Lin, who eventually stopped directing the film, but was included in the project.

The screenplay by Justin Lin and Dan Mezzo stars Vin Diesel, Charlize Theron, Jason Momoa, Brie Larson, Michelle Rodriguez and Portugal’s Daniela Melchior, and will be shot in the UK, Italy and Portugal. ,

According to the American publication The Hollywood Reporter, the film’s budget exceeded $300 million (about 284 million euros) in May, a figure that does not include the cost of “marketing” and advertising.

The movie “Fast X” is scheduled to be released in the United States on May 19, 2023.
