Chain Magician is one of the platform’s biggest hits that debuted on Netflix in 2019. Season 2 was released in December 2021 and the fans are eagerly waiting for the next one.
Some of the plot’s curiosities are that the series originated as a fantasy franchise based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s stories set in Poland in the 1980s.

“Geralt the Mutant is a hunter from Rivia, struggling to find his place in a world where humans are often more cruel than wild creatures,” reads the official synopsis.

1- Isn’t the wizard based on games or books?
Even with the success of the award-winning games that preceded the series, the product wasn’t as focused on the game as many fans thought.
The Witcher is based on Andrzej Sapkowski’s stories, which resulted in The Witcher. Another inspiration for the product, revealed by showrunner Lauren, is that it’s based on the movie. Christopher Nola, Dunkirk.

2- How was the choice and Henry Cavill for the leading role?
There is nothing better than a fan to play Geralt. Yes, the 39-year-old actor is a huge fan of The Witcher and has been ever since he played the game.
“Sports is my passion. I hope they turn this story into a series or movie one day.
And when Cavill found out that Netflix would produce the series, he soon called his agent, expressing his interest in the role. He had to clear around 200 challenging tests which the role required and he managed to get ahead of the other candidates.

3- Where was the first and second season filmed?
One of the highlights of the series is the beautiful set pieces that blend real locations with CGI editing. Most of the filming took place in Eastern European countries.
The first season was filmed in Australia, Poland, Hungary and Slovakia. Season 2 featured beautiful locations in England such as the ruins in the north of England known as Falls Abbey and other locations in the UK.
