161,000 Mercedes SUVs Recalled for Detaching Window Trim Exactly 161,000 Mercedes-Benz, AMG and Maybach SUVs have been recalled after a manufacturing error was discovered that could cause the door trim to separate.

Affected SUVs include the 2020-21 model year GLE580s and GLS580s; Model year 2020-22 GLE350s, GLE450s, and GLS450s; 2021 AMG GLE63s, AMG GLS63s and Maybach GLS600s; and model year 2021-22 AMG GLE53s. Thanks to the mentioned manufacturing error, the tailgate window trim rails may separate, causing road hazards and increasing the risk of accident or injury.

To solve the problem, dealers will inspect and secure the rear window trim bars, as necessary, free of charge.
