2023 Lincoln Corsair: New Face, New Features The Lincoln Corsair returns in 2023 as the smallest SUV in the brand’s lineup, providing a new face and updated advanced driver assistance technology for the compact luxury SUV segment. Lincoln’s automaker Ford recently announced improvements to its BlueCruise hands-free driving systems (dubbed ActiveGlide on Lincoln) with its debut in the 2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E, and the updated Corsair will be the first Lincoln to get the upgrade.

Lincoln ActiveGlide 1.2 adds three features to the hands-free driving system to improve the experience and make it feel more natural. The most significant change is the addition of hands-free lane changes. The upgrade can also automatically adjust Corsair’s speed to smoothly navigate a curve and reposition a pirate in its lane to prevent it from getting too close to vehicles in adjacent lanes. Along with the improved ActiveGlide, Lincoln will give Corsair what it calls Intersection Assist 2.0, which it says will better enable Corsair to detect pedestrians while cornering. Blind Spot Assist is another new feature, which provides steering information in an effort to prevent collisions with vehicles detected in Corsair’s blind spot.

Continuing to look like a smaller pilot, Corsair gets a larger grille and redesigned headlights. According to Lincoln, the Corsair Grand Touring Hybrid grille features a glossy metallic finish with blue accents that give a warmer tone and tone with the gloss. New wheel options and paint colors complement the exterior updates.

Inside, the controls in the center of the dashboard have been “simplified,” which Lincoln says will open up the cockpit area and improve storage. In addition, the 13.2-inch touchscreen will use Sync 4 – not the more advanced Sync 4A – and its software can be updated over the air. New interior color themes will also be available.

Not new powertrains

The 2023 Corsair and Corsair Grand Touring PHEV engines have been carried over from 2022. The gas-only Corsair engine will be available in front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive, powered by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine making 250 horsepower and 275 pound-feet of torque paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission . Meanwhile, the Grand Touring makes 266 horsepower and has standard all-wheel drive and a continuously variable automatic transmission.
