Jeep Adding 4 EVs to Lineup by 2025, Starting With Recon and Wagoneer S Jeep has given us a glimpse into its electrification plans, announcing its intention to have four all-electric vehicles in North America and Europe and to offer an electric 4xe version of every model in its Jeep and Wagoneer lineup by 2025. Meanwhile, the latest electric 4xe will be the Grand Wagoneer, which Jeep says will go on sale in 2024. Jeep has also given more details about a small electric SUV it acquired earlier this year, dubbed the Avenger, but As of now, it has not given any indication that it will be one of the electric vehicles coming to the US by 2025.

The all-electric Recon will be, according to Jeep, an all-electric model intended for off-road driving. Jeep says it will be a Trail Rated and have Selec-Terrain, electronic locking hubs, underbody protection and off-road tires. True to its legacy, the brand says the Recon Boxy’s doors and windows are removable, and will have a power-retractable roof for outdoor driving. Jeep also says the Recon Uconnect infotainment system will include detailed trail maps to aid off-road exploration.

According to Jeep, reservations for the Recon will open in early 2023, with production set to begin in 2024 in North America. Gibb says he will make his public debut sometime in 2023.

The electric road-going SUV joining the Jeep portfolio is currently called the Wagoneer S, which indicates that the name will likely change by the time it hits production. Like the Recon, Jeep says it will debut next year and be built in North America starting in 2024, with reservations opening in 2023.

The Wagoneer S has a very interesting design, with a sloping roofline and hidden behind a roof-mounted spoiler. The grille features a refined EV style with Jeep’s signature seven-element design and unique forward-slanting nose. The automaker says the Wagoneer S will have all-wheel drive as standard, targeting an estimated range of 400 miles, 600 horsepower and a 0-60 mph time of 3.5 seconds.

As part of its plan to offer a 4xe variant for all of its models by the end of 2025, Jeep has shown a glimpse of the upcoming Grand Wagoneer 4xe, which it says should be available in 2024. Gibb says the Avenger should have about 250 miles of range. Much closer to production ready, the Avenger will make its official appearance at the Paris Motor Show on October 17, and reservations will open that day. It will go on sale in early 2023.
