Nearly Every Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4xe PHEV Recalled for Overheating Battery Pack A problem with the high-voltage battery pack in some of the plug-in hybrid Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4xe SUVs prompted original automaker Jeep Stellants to recall more than 13,700 vehicles.

Affected vehicles include the 2022-23 model year Jeep Wrangler Unlimited 4xe PHEVs. The battery assembly was built with the wrong fasteners and may fail to secure the 200 amp fuse, resulting in overheating. Heat can cause the fuse to malfunction and lose engine power, increasing the risk of a collision.To fix the problem, dealers will check and replace the battery fuse for free; They will also check the assembly for any damage and replace, if necessary. Owners will be notified of the issue starting December 2nd.
